National Reconciliation Week

more than a word reconciliation takes action 2021

Dementia Training Australia (DTA) is hoping its evidence-based resources may be put to good use during National Reconciliation Week with aged care organisations using DTA resources as the basis for a staff discussion or learning opportunity.

National Reconciliation Week is celebrated in workplaces, schools and community organisations across Australia, with hundreds of reconciliation events held during the same week each year: 27 May to 3 June.

National Reconciliation Week offers organisations and individuals the opportunity to explore how they can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia – most importantly, by building respectful relationships between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
