Giving Voice Chorus is a choir program for people with dementia and their care partners.

Based in Minneapolis in the US, Giving Voice Chorus is a choir program for people with dementia and their care partners.

The associated Giving Voice Initiative (GVI) aims to inspire and equip organisations around the world to build similar choruses to help bring joy, well-being, purpose and community understanding to people with dementia and their care partners.

GVI has created a toolkit to share what it has learned in creating and operating other Giving Voice Choruses. The toolkit is available at givingvoicechorus.org and is free to access and use, after registering with your name and email address.

It answers the following questions:

  •  Who should host a Giving Voice Chorus?
  •  What’ s involved in planning a chorus?
  •  What’ s special about the Giving Voice experience?
  •  What’ s involved in operating a chorus?
  •  How much will it cost and who will pay for it?
