Prerequisites


In this module you will work through two case studies and develop a plan for appropriately withdrawing a benzodiazepine and/or other sedative medication for a person living with dementia.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this module you should be able to:

  • Recognise the processes involved when reducing and/or withdrawing benzodiazepine and/or other sedative medications.
  • Identify appropriate dosages and durations of benzodiazepine and/or other sedative medication during a withdrawal plan.

Continuing Professional Education

A completion certificate for CPD credit is awarded upon successful completion of this module.

A Certificate of completion is awarded on successful completion of a DTA course or module. You may use this certificate toward your Continuing Professional Development and Education (CPD/CPEE). Access your Certificates in your Dashboard.
