This course is divided into two sections:

    • This section introduces a set of DTA medication management resources.
  • 2
    Case study: Mr Derek Rix
    • This section will introduce our case study, Mr Derek Rix.

Learning Outcomes

This module will:

  • introduce a set of Dementia Training Australia (DTA) resources that may help when managing antipsychotic medications for responsive behaviours
  • use a case study to suggest how to use the resources
  • provide information regarding current recommendations for antipsychotic medication use for responsive behaviours when all other non-drug strategies have been unsuccessful
