About this Module
This module has four sections:

Process of evaluating effectiveness and comparison with goals
- We first consider what success might look like and indicators of effectiveness.

Agitation
- This section explores agitation as a changed behaviour, methods of assessing and measuring it, and potential interventions.

Case study part 1
- This section introduces Joyce, her history of agitation and assessing her symptoms.

4
Case study part 2
- Continues Joyce's story and steps through setting-up monitoring responses for interventions.
Prerequisites
Before undertaking this module you will need to complete the following:
Learning Outcomes
After completing this module, staff should be able to:
- Explain the important features of evaluating interventions to determine the level of effectiveness.
- Outline some key elements related to the assessment of a person with dementia experiencing agitation.
- Identify outcomes that indicate the level of effectiveness of interventions used in the case study.
