What you do at DTA
I provide admin support to the GP Training Team and also assist with any document formatting needs that may be driving my colleagues spare.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
I really enjoy the weekly DTA LaTrobe catchup meetings. It is a nicely collegiate team of very engaged people I have to good fortune to be working with.
How would your colleagues describe you?
Well intentioned? Articulate (that's polite for opinionated and talkative) and adaptable.
What’s a usual ‘day in the office’ like for you?
Check diary, check emails, respond to emails, make lists, undertake any tasks required through the day, attend meetings, check lists end of day against activities and tasks completed, wonder at the gap between hope and reality...
What’s your favourite font and why?
Actually I could bore for several nations on this one. I am rather partial to Garamond as a very readable, yet not to heavy serif typeface for body type in a print setting. Not awfully fashionable perhaps, but aids comprehension I think, which is very helpful when the content may not be exactly bodice ripplingly compelling. It works well with the Futura family of sans serif fonts for headings and tables, and it also reads well on screen. The DTA favoured Montserrat font is quite a nice face with a useful range of intensities. I warned you didn't I? Anyone still out there?... Hello...
Something on your bucket list that you’d care to share?
Rather keen to do a trip of parts of Europe combining narrowboat and bicycle - preferably in places with verrrrry gentle hills for the bicycle bits... Frankly just excited at the prospect of going somewhere further than Melton in the immediate future! (Although I do like Melton)
