A four-part learning series for GPs and Registrars
This course equips General Practitioners with the knowledge and practical frameworks to identify, assess, and understand dementia and cognitive impairment, supporting accurate diagnosis and person-centred care across Australia.
In this course, you will learn about dementia as a syndrome and its impact on Australia, how to recognise dementia and cognitive impairment, and how it progresses over time. You will also have access to a framework to assist you with dementia diagnosis in practice.
This course is for General Practitioners (GPs) working in both primary and residential aged care. It is also suitable for GP Registrars and other medical professionals with an interest in dementia. It provides an overview of dementia and its diagnosis by a GP over four modules:
