Learners explore practical ways to apply person-centred and trauma-aware approaches when supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples living with dementia.   • Describe the key elements of culturally safe, person-centred, and trauma-aware dementia care in everyday practice.
  • Identify culturally informed communication and behaviour-support strategies that respond to the needs and preferences of Elders/Olders Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living with dementia.
  • Recognise how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples values such as connection to Country, kinship and collective care can shape effective and respectful dementia support.
  • Reflect on one practical change or action can implement in their own workplace to strengthen cultural safety and quality of care for Elders/Olders Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living with dementia.
