Identifying Falls Risks
Small Falls Matter Too
About This Topic
This topic helps you identify falls and the risk factors behind them.
Participants will explore the evidence on falls in people living with dementia, then watch video scenarios, set in the home, hospital and residential aged care, to practise identifying whether a fall has taken place. An interactive activity will then help them spot the common risk factors that can lead to a fall.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of this session, participants should be able to:
- Define what a fall is and identify if a fall has taken place
- Identify common falls risk factors for people living with dementia
