About this Module
This module has THREE sections:

- Introduces the assessment process, determining immediate or potential risk, and understanding an individual’s history and the care environment.

The assessment process
- The 5 key elements of the assessment process: the history, the behaviour, understanding the person, the care giver and the care environment.

Case study: vocally disruptive behaviour
- What is vocally disruptive behaviour (VDB) and introduction to a case study.

Learning Outcomes
After completing this module, staff will be able to:
- Outline the key areas and questions needed for a comprehensive behaviour assessment.
- Explain the use and value of preferred assessment tools.
- Outline the assessment process and questions you could use for the person in the case study, focusing particularly on their disruptive vocalisation behaviour.
